Fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts you create. Do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real. But fear is a choice.
That quote is from the trailer for “After Earth,” where a father is telling his son not to allow fear to govern his actions. Not to let what a situation looks like to dictate what the son does.
I’ve heard that same message a lot recently, but I think it’s always a good one to reiterate.
What are we choosing today? Are we choosing to allow what a situation looks like to dictate our actions? The danger may be real. The circumstances may be bad. But they don’t get the final word, God does.
Are we choosing faith?
Or are we choosing fear?
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
~ Psalm 118:6
